Berating what should be the obvious
Barry Bright
April 25, 2007

Finally I have overcome my disgust enough to make a few points about the efforts of the Marxist front groups to use the killings of April 2007 to their advantage.

First an obvious question already asked by many:

If Cho was deemed incompetent/dangerous to others by a doctor and a judge(without political agendas, if that’s possible) why was he still walking the street? Not why or how did he get a gun? He could have gotten a gun from any drug dealer on a street corner. Or he could have gone to the local department store and bought bomb ingredients called for in an internet recipe.

But that makes too much sense. The sheeple want the fantasy: the cops and the authorities are there to protect us. Tell that to the dead and the hospitalized. But even then, how many of the survivors will have the intelligence and the guts to arm themselves from now on? Probably few, human stupidity is the only constant.

It comes down to that three or four nano-seconds before you die, when time freezes, and you’re either intelligent enough to understand what’s happening to you or you’re a sheeple who is wondering “Why is this happening to me?”

And remember: If you're not dumb as a doorpost you can't be a 'victim.'

How many of the dead and wounded, if I or another gun-rights activist had gone to that school and passed out flyers encouraging CCW on campus would have at best shrugged me off, or ridiculed the idea that a human being has the right and responsibility to fight back?

The answer is obvious: most. That’s why I cannot feel sorry for them. I didn’t feel sorry for the ‘victims’ on 911. Anyone with a brain who had paid passing attention to the ‘news’ in the country over the past 2 or 3 decades would have to know such an event, or much worse, is possible. A decision to work in a target like that, to accept the possibility that death or injury may come because it’s a symbol to our enemies of whatever one cares to believe it symbolizes, is personal and no sympathy is required. This is the column I wrote after that date and I haven’t changed my mind one bit about it.

And the tiny percentage who were smart enough to know the school’s policy concerning ‘weapons’ is dangerous, stupid and evil should have been carrying anyway. A human life is always more important than a ‘policy’ or ‘law’ written by some idiot or “Liberal” freak.

The sheeple see all the crying and hand wringing on the weaponvision and they shed a little tear, put a sticky flag or magnet on their car and say “Oh that’s so awful,” and go right back to their mindlessness in a few days. It’s all good mind control. The government didn’t protect a few of our 300 million population that time so we need to pass some more laws to make everyone feel better about their cowardice and blind faith in higher powers.

Crime is everywhere. And the sheeple are in denial about it. My nearest neighbor is a rental house about 200 yards away. My cousin, a man in his 50s, has been living there after a divorce while building another house. His father asked me if I had seen anyone there a morning or so back.

It seems that my temporary neighbor had left his house for a few hours and when he returned found his brand new television gone. Luckily his daughter was still asleep in her bed, unharmed. Some of my cousin's ‘indian rocks’ were left on a couch by the burglar(s).

I don’t know if his door was unlocked or not when he left. Many of my neighbors don’t bother. The point is, burglary is nothing new and unusual around here in the sticks. Crime is everywhere. In fact the sheriff told me a couple months back that crime of all kinds was on the increase, due to the economy he thinks.

What makes it all so absurd is that it could, and probably will be, much worse. We probably ‘ain’t seen nothin’ yet.’

The most important question to ask is “Why haven’t they?”:

It would be so easy. A small team could easily take over a mall, a school, a small town basketball game. Where are all the terrorists? Is the FBI or other intelligence agencies that good? And that possibility scares me more than the fundamentalist ragheads ever have.

You don’t want to live in a society where they’re ‘that good’ and where they have such a grip on whatever the government deems to be extremism that the ‘extremists’ have no chance of fighting back. That’s not Liberty.

It could have been much worse. If a small team of non-mentally ill insurgents, terrorists, whatever you want to call them, went to a public place full of a bunch of unarmed dumbed-down sheeple with a real ‘plan’ they could kill hundreds.

And the so-called ‘news’ media:

Next to the fact that ‘journalism’ so-called was long ago infiltrated by Marxist insurgents a lot of rubbish is published every day because someone’s paycheck has to be justified. Instead of a local columnist being able to say “Gosh, I just don’t really have anything worthwhile to waste my readers’ time on why don’t you publish this guy? He really had something to say here. Sorry, too much of the time that ‘something’ contradicts the official line or the stupidity/agenda of the editor/publisher.

There are 300 million people in this country in all 50 states. Are we to assume they are all safe and none will ever die?

Most of the sheeple think only of their circle of friends, community, neighborhood, town, whatever. They are pitiful at looking at the big picture.

And the so-called 'educated' among us keep making the same mistakes.

What's next?:

So where are we now with the evil creatures in charge of the U.S. House and Senate Committees? Will Dubya feel ‘pressured’ to ‘do something?’ If so, what must the ‘gun rights’ community’s reaction be?

Are we ready for the ultimate reaction if it becomes necessary? Are there real leaders out there who can take command and organize, train and supply for the fateful day that the “Liberal” scum want to shove down our throats? Well, are there?

I’m not counting on it. And neither should you. You must begin to plan your actions now. Who or what you will target. For you must target, and you must not sit cowardly in your homes waiting for the 3 AM no-knock that will end your life because some scumbag “Liberal” neighbor got wind that you didn’t turn in/register all your weapons to the police state.

Here is what one survivor of Soviet tyranny had to say about this:

"How we burned in the prison camps later thinking: What would things have been like if every police operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive? If during periods of mass arrests people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever was at hand? The organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt." - Alexander Solzhenitsyn, author of The Gulag Archipelago.

The Soviet Union by the way was once looked up to and admired, and still is, by many Amerikan “Liberals” who before WWII called themselves what they really are: communists/socialists.

Does reason matter any more?

As I posted on the front page what I fear is we are approaching the time when reason will no longer matter at all. England is already there and millions of insane idiots over here would love to see the same evil shoved down their neighbors’ throats by a badge with a gun that they hired with their vote.

On perusing all the millions of forums, boards, comments, etc.:

One poster wrote that he didn’t think God would allow this kind of thing to go on much longer in ‘America.'

Sir, you are very greatly deceived. This may only be the beginning.

My first response to Cho’s madness, posted on my Blacksburg page, was this:

I want to feel bad for you, I really do, but how many of you ever put any effort into thinking about what your reaction to such an event would be? How many of you were smart enough to buy a gun, learn to use it, and keep it with you in case of such an event, when you have only seconds or less to decide if you will have the dignity to fight back or the cowardice to act like a domesticated animal waiting your turn at the butcher shop?

   It was posted here.

And this was one actual response to it:

“Fighting violence with violence is never an answer. Peace to all beings.” - S.

According to the profile page for this poster it’s a young woman, a very stupid, deceived, indoctrinated young woman who will vote for a piece of “Liberal” garbage to hire a prostitute with a badge and a gun to show up at your door to make sure you ‘comply’ with her ignorance.

This is a very deadly situation we are in because millions are just as stupid as she. I suppose shooting a rapist in her bedroom at 3 AM wouldn’t end any violence any more than killing a Hitler or a Stalin. I hope she gets to find out. She deserves it. The people who infested her mind with that garbage deserve far worse.

And the British:

Why use Britain as an example for our problems? Because it’s the same sickness, darkness, evil, that we contend with over here, the “Liberal” i.e. authoritarian yet pacified mindset that has progressed them into the police state they now tolerate.

I’ve been watching for some time the cancerous grip that the evil “Liberal” mindset has on England and her conquered neighbors, Scotland and Ireland. But most of it seems to be happening in our ‘mother country.’

The stupidity over here:

According to one article American Koreans ‘felt a prick of conscience’ over this, or so one said. Their conscience should only bother them if they support “Liberal”ism in any form. I wish I could trade every “Liberal” in this country, white, black, brown, yellow or pink with lavender stripes for anyone of any race from anywhere who wanted to come here and live in real Liberty and not the authoritarian police state that is being constructed around us.

While another bunch of Amerikan idiots bemoan the ‘barrage’ of ‘violence’ their children have grown up under and are grateful they haven't been 'hardened' by it. Oh give it a break. In this world violence is the norm, not the exception. Just because there are 10,000 Podunks out there where "it can’t happen here because it never has, yet" doesn’t mean it won’t or can’t.

Amerikan children need to be hardened. They’ve had it too soft for too long. Those mal-educated college students put up their hands to Cho as if that would stop his bullets.

I’ve long been against a draft because of my Libertarian principles but I’m beginning to see a need to put all young adults through at least a ‘reality’ course. They could all use a drill instructor yelling in their faces for a while.

The Disease:

It’s the “Liberals” stupid. If a “Liberal” freak doesn’t like you spanking your child, spank the “Liberal” freak and put it on the first boat to China.

Voting for a “Liberal” is like voting to live in Hell on Earth. Tolerating a “Liberal” is like tolerating a brain tumor. Tolerating “Liberal”ism in government is like tolerating cancer.

If you don’t want school shootings bring back the paddle and bring back the school shooting team and make everyone take the course so they fully understand what weapons are, how to use them, and the permanent damage they can do.

The Bloggers:

Finally, there is some hope for our situation. The Jim Zumbo affair shows this. There are now hundreds of pro-Liberty bloggers, commenters and others who keep up with what’s being done to us. But they come in all levels of awareness. Here’s one that got my attention:

I am dismayed that you blame this tragedy on a gun, Mr. Jennings. It was not the gun that committed this crime. It was one individual that had no regard for human life or compassion for his peers. If he didn't have a gun he would have used a knife, bat or a vehicle. Are you going to ban all those next?

Do not blame what he did on an inanimate object. There are thousands of responsible gun owners that would never consider intentionally doing harm to another human being.

Why is it no one blames Hollywood or the Media for inundating young people with violance over and over until they become immuned to the true tragedy of killing another human being.

The innocence of youth further stripped away with this tragedy. How is it possible to continue to believe that there is inherent goodness in people, humanity at large, when day after day after day there is only violence and tragedy? There was a time that if given the opportunity to "redo" my college years knowing what I know now, I would have jumped at the chance --- not anymore. I do not envy the youth of this country, this world for that matter, growing up in the world we now have.

May the victims, the living and the dead, find peace.

Well, bless the guy for trying. But he’s wrong on several points.

Children are not born with 'inherent goodness.’ Children are inherently selfish, self-centered and greedy. Goodness has to be taught, written onto the blank slate with a dose of reality that instructs that not all our neighbors will love us back.

Not all the sheeple are taught ‘goodness’ or they cast it aside for various reasons. And there are people who kill, legally or not, because they can, because the ‘law’ allows it. Always has been, always will be.

He is right about not envying the youth. They are drowning mentally in the authoritarian propaganda about the environment that isn’t about ‘saving the Earth’ but about controlling it and all its resources. Whether they will wake up to this fact only time will tell. That may depend on how much longer the powers who want to always be allow the internet to remain a free-speech zone or find a way to return to the time when they controlled the information flow.

As for our 'gun rights' many an armed populace through history has fallen to or lived under tyranny. Keeping our guns is no guarantor of Liberty.

Pertinent Quotes:

A decline in courage may be the most striking feature that an outside observer notices in the West today. The Western world has lost its civic courage, both as a whole and separately, in each country, in each government, in each political party, and, of course, in the United Nations. Such a decline in courage is particularly noticeable among the ruling and intellectual elites, causing an impression of a loss of courage by the entire society. There are many courageous individuals, but they have no determining influence on public life.
Political and intellectual functionaries exhibit this depression, passivity, and perplexity in their actions and in their statements, and even more so in their self-serving rationales as to how realistic, reasonable, and intellectually and even morally justified it is to base state policies on weakness and cowardice. And the decline in courage, at times attaining what could be termed a lack of manhood, is ironically emphasized by occasional outbursts and inflexibility on the part of those same functionaries when dealing with weak governments and with countries that lack support, or with doomed currents which clearly cannot offer resistance. But they get tongue-tied and paralyzed when they deal with powerful governments and threatening forces, with aggressors and international terrorists.
Should one point out that from ancient times decline in courage has been considered the beginning of the end? -
Alexander Solzhenitsyn

... whenever the Legislators endeavour to take away, and destroy the Property of the People, or to reduce them to Slavery under Arbitrary Power, they put themselves into a state of War with the People, who are thereupon absolved from any farther Obedience ... [Power then] devolves to the People, who have a Right to resume their original Liberty, and, by the Establishment of a new Legislative (such as they shall think fit) provide for their own Safety and Security, which is the end for which they are in Society. - John Locke

Fear is the foundation of most governments. - John Adams

For the great majority of mankind are satisfied with appearances, as though they were realities, and are often more influenced by the things that seem than by those that are. - Niccolo Machiavelli

...So long as the people do not care to exercise their freedom, those who wish to tyrannize will do so; for tyrants are active and ardent, and will devote themselves in the name of any number of gods, religious and otherwise, to put shackles upon sleeping men. - Voltaire

The simple step of a courageous individual is not to take part in the lie. One word of truth outweighs the world. - Alexander Solzhenitsyn

The first law of human nature is stupidity.
